Mediation Options<\/strong><\/span><\/h5>\n
Mediation Options<\/span><\/strong> was established by Brian O\u2019Byrne in 2016.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Brian is a current member of the MII Council and held the position of Honorary Secretary<\/span> of the Mediators' Institute of Ireland from 2013 until 2021<\/span>. He is a vastly experienced Mediator who has participated in over 1000 hours of face-to-face mediation over the past two decades. Brian has lectured on Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution practices in Trinity College, University College Dublin and N.U.I. Maynooth.<\/span><\/h6>\n
Mediation Experience<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>\n
Brian has facilitated numerous successful and lasting resolutions across many sectors including Workplace, Family, Separating Couples, Commercial and Community.\u00a0<\/span><\/h6>\n
Between 2001 and 2011 Brian facilitated over 300 equality mediations under Equal Status and Employment legislation while working as a Mediator with the Equality Tribunal. In all, Brian has conducted in excess of 1000 hours of mediation dealing with\u00a0 disputes involving\u00a0the Services Sector (banking, education, airlines etc.) and the Workplace.<\/span><\/h6>\n
In 2005 Brian was appointed Head of Mediation in the Equality Tribunal and successfully managed its Mediation Service until 2011 when he took up a position with the Family Mediation Service.<\/span><\/h6>\n
When conducting mediation Brian adheres to the Mediators\u2019 Institute of Ireland's Code of Ethics ( http:\/\/www.themii.ie\/code-of-ethics-and-practice<\/span>).<\/span><\/h6>\n
